Adding a pocket clip to a sak?

I've been trying to use the search function to see if it's been discussed but it seems to not like my combo of words. Has anyone added a functional pocket clip to their sak? I seem to always carry a spyderco just because they are easy to access and i use a knife often at work for opening packages and cutting up boxes. Not sure if the sheeple at work would appreciate my OHT cutting up boxes, but i miss having a sak with me. One other thought, is there anyone who has made a one hand opening sak out of a standard one? I know about the OHT, but what of the standard model, like the tinker. Any fancy blade mods to bring a sak up to date with pocket clip or one hand opening feature? Thanks for any info.

:D

I've tried to use a belt pouch before, but i'm much more comfortable with pocket clip carry. Thanks for the suggestion though.

try sosak.com

Ditto. SOSAK will have info on clips, how to install them, what models are best for them, etc.

Also try the multi-tool forum here at BF. There may be something in there on it.

As for One-Handed-Opening on a standard SAK, seems that would be a real chore to accomplish on such a small knife.

thx - cpr

i never use a pocket clip anymore

it makes everybody notice that you are carrying a knife

that is not a good thing, even if only that yu have to explain why you are acrrying one

so i just put the knives in my pockets without using the clip

Rather than put that abomination on an sak (being humorous here) you may want to consider a pocket sheath with a clip aka William Henry style. Just as handy, looks good, cheap and the sak is going to feel a lot better in your hand. It is a leather pouch type sheath with a sturdy clip on the back and a shell type cut out on the top front so that the knife rides securely and can be quickly retrieved from the top of you pocket.

I am swiping a couple of shots from MHAWG that he posted in the tradition forum so that you have a better picture of it.

I just answered this problem for myself a few days ago. I took an old soft eyeglass case with a clip on it, cut it to size, the sewed up the sides making a little slip case with a clip for my Vic Explorer. It works very well and you can cut where you want so the clip can ride very low or high, where ever you want. Plus the cases can be had for cheap and it fits other knives I have that don't have clips (like my new Fallkniven U2).

Who sells these?

I tried googleing yesterday and came up with a few sources.
WH may sell them. Most of the prices I saw ran 12-15 bucks.

Thanks. Your google-fu is indeed mighty.

Do you have his contact information?. I would like to see if he can put a pocket clip on a Buck 110 for me
