Adding a Wave to a Large Classic?

This is something that holds some appeal for me, but I'm not sure if it can be done without compromising the blade's strength (given that there isn't much spine to work.) Has anyone ever successfully implemented a wave on the Large Classic? If so, any suggestions for exact placement, size, shape, orientation, etc?

Just a thought, you might want to ask Mr. Emerson before you utilize his wave feature.

I'm still not sure if it's even possible or if I even want to (depending on what the implementation would call for.) I'm more just curious as to whether or not it can be done.

With all due respect to Mr. Emerson, though, is permission really necessary for a DIY modification for personal use?

I am pretty sure he patented it. Just send him an email, better to ask before than anything even if for personal use.

To your question at hand, it would seem that a lot of material would have to be removed if it were to wave properly. With the material removed, the tumbstud might not work.

Just my opinion though, ask first on the use of the wave feature.
