A few days ago we upgraded our cable service from Basic (no box required) to Standard ( with Motorola cable box). We use a dual tuner Tivo.
Adding the cable box has proved frustrating. According to Tivo instructions the Tivo tuner will lose the ability to record 2 programs simultaneously (true) unless both of the channels are under #100 (false in our experience). One of my favorite features of the Tivo was the ability to record 2 programs while watching a third.
We have been at this for hours and I'm wondering if there are any experienced cable box/Tivo users who could point me in the right direction to sort this out.
We used the splitter with one side going to the Tivo and the other going to the cable box but can't record 2 programs at the same time no matter the station number. Help anyone?
