So yesterday I added some jimping to my BK2 and BK11, took I took them out for some testing. Built a small fire, and also cooked on my BushBuddy.

The jimping really makes a world of difference if you ask me, it adds a lot more control.

I did it with a Dremel, it's not prefect, if I wanted prefect I would have gotten a Busse.

I like your spacing. Nicely done.

A fresh hack saw blade will also make jimping.

Or...

Sweet. Thought about doing this myself, but am going to wait awhile, if I do it at all.

Widerstand, jimping looks great. I need to try that with mine. Tom, yours is making my thumb hurt!:oJK. I think you may have made your cuts alittle too close but that's just an opinion..(Tom your work still rocks in my book and I like books with lots of cool pics...That you provide!:D)

I'm thinking about jimping but I want to find one of those checkering saws.

Looks great bro! I am seriously considering the jimping once I get a little more finish wore off my BK2. And while I like the way TAG did it, I like a bigger looking jimping like yours more. Decisions, decisions...

That looks nice, and not too rough on the thumb.

I was looking at them, then I looked at the cost, then the cost of using a friends Dremel and the Dremel won.

Thanks, yeah I just wanted something to give a bit more of a lock up on the thumb.

I am now think on taking a flapper wheel to the thumb ramp on the BK9 removing it and then adding jimping like this.

Which bit did you use on the dremel to make the jimping?
I've really been thinking about cutting some into my BK2.

Nice effort, looks like it'll add a nice bit of extra friction. I'd like to see a BK11 fully jimped on nearly every surface. Who is up to the challenge?

Do you live right there on the water, or is that just where you go to cut things and play with fire???

I'm diggin' the looks of your blades.

Nah man I don't live anywhere, the closest thing I have to something permanent would be a PO BOX.

I often live out there for long amounts of time in the summer, it's a no mans land between a storage lot and the Columbia River. Due to the lower Columbia River Water Trail you can camp any place along the Oregon side of the Columbia river below the high water mark for as long as you like for free.

Lately I just been going there to hang out.

Very nice work.
What do you mean ( if I wanted prefect I would have gotten a Busse).
And waste all that money.

mmm, biscuits :)

with gravy ;) and chunky home style gravy. mmm....
