Additional Manufacturers?

This topic is NOT meant to inflame, but is a sincere question. I own a lot of knives from several different manufacturers such as SOG, Al Mar, Emerson, Spyderco, Cold Steel, ESEE (actually, mine are RAT), CRKT, etc. I've often wondered why some manufacturers are represented in the forum and some are not.

Obviously my question is filtered through my experience so I will offer three of many companies. First, I figure a lot of folks don't own Al Mar so that is understandable why I don't see a separate section. Second, I personally know a lot of guys who own CRKT knives due to a cost factor. Thirdly, there seems to be a lot of people here that own Cold Steel knives. Is there a legitimate reason certain companies are not represented in the Manufacturers section? Again, I am not looking for "hateful" responses but a sincere answer to why some manufacturers are represented in the forum while others are not.

If X manufacturer wants a forum here, all they have to do is ask/contact Spark. According to the FAQ, all that is asked in return is that there be an official representative available to moderate the forum. Some companies have their own forum and chose to focus their energies on that, others have multiple forums, it varies from company to company. :D
 
This question is frequently asked and answered. I find it difficult to believe you have been here since 2007 and have neither run into one of the threads nor found time to read the FAQs.
