Picked up my new 158OT this weekend. I'm impressed with this knife, very nice design, and thats from a guy that doesn't care for guthooks alot. Out of all the new fixed blades I have to try out this upcoming deer season, this may get the nod, although I'm still debating. I did sharpen it up so its not 100% new anymore.

Has anyone used the guthook on this knife? How did it work on deer?

Asking because it looks a little on the small side, although it is sharp.

Also picked up a new 778RB gents folder off ebay. Hasn't arrived yet, but it looks like a nice little folder. I have lots of pen-sized folders, so this may go into my display later on.

Next from my stash supplier will be a glaring ommission from my collection:
A 152OT. You would think I would have one, as they are the most common OT fixed blade, but I've been getting other knives that are somewhat less common. Probably why I've waited so long.

Good going on your latest finds and additions. I've developed a little bit of a liking for the little steel gent's folders, like the 778. My favorite is the one shown with the Uncle Henry Signature. If anyone sees me bidding on one that they like at Ebay, just let me know.
Phil

PS... You don't have a Sharpfinger!??? Someone call the Sargent at Arms of this forum! (that would be LT)

The stainless steel folders are really nice to carry in the pocket of a pair of slacks. I had several of different brands, though one of my favorites was a Kershaw 5200 because it had a larger blade.
I recently picked up a SS627 I had spotted on a previous scouting trip. It is a nice 2 blade that fits well in slacks pockets.
Congrats on the new acquisition, OTguy. I am sure you will enjoy it.
Beautiful collection, Phil. I like your background.

Hmm, I see where that Canal Street Cutlery label comes from.

Please don't call security on me yet!
I do have the UH version, that buys me a little time, right?

Better hurry! They were only made for thirty one years! Supplies will be drying up soon!
