Addressing an envelope properly?

Howdy folks-

Had a quick and borderline retarded question on addressing an envelope. This will be for pre-addressing an envelope that will be given to individuals writing me a letter of reference for a residency. I want to include an "RE:" area on the envelope so that the addressee has some idea what they are about.

Where do I properly include such an area? Before the addressee's name? Like...

RE: PGY1 Residency Letter of Reference
Care of: Robert Smith, Pharm.D.
Hospital
Address
City, State, Zip

Know what I mean?

At least that's the way I've been told to do and I've seen it.

This is correct. A "re" goes left-justified one or two lines below the return address.

So like this...
