hey guys. Have an rws model 48. I adjusted my old gun but have just kept this gun how my grandfather gave it to me. Took a screw driver today to try and get a better adjustment. I can feel when the first stage ends and the second stage begins, where as before i t felt like a continuous trigger. The second stage is short and I can feel a definite stop, not a wall but I can feel when the second stage should start. That's how it should be, right? That's how my old gun was. So, i hope i did it right, i just want to make sure!

Check out this link. It has a good diagram of a RWS 54 trigger group about halfway down the page.. Same action as a 48, but the 54 is "recoiless". http://www.eddiecolwell.tzo.com/RWS-54.htm Also here's a link to the factory manual. If you don't have it, it may be helpful to you.

I have an older 54 in .22 and love it. What cal. do you have? Does it have a metal or plastic trigger? I believe the older models with a metal trigger had the T01 trigger group (more adjustable/desireable). Yes, a slight resistance after the first stage is taken up would be correct. I toyed with mine until you can just barely feel it. With a scope, it's stupid accurate. I use it to blast invaders in my backyard garden. I have far too many airguns and the RWS products are some of my favorites.
