Adjusting detents?

I read somewhere once that there was a procedure for adjusting the ball detents in Emerson knives to keep them more secure when closed. I tried searching for it with no luck. Can anyone post a link to a thread or the procedure itself? Thanks.

Just take a flat screwdriver and push in gently on the secondary detent arm (the little one.)

Go slow, a little goes a long way. You do need to use quite a bit of force though.

Also make sure you don't pop the detent ball out by pushing on the bar, not the hole where the ball lies.

Sometimes the detent hole in the blade is drilled wrong so no matter how tight the detent is, it won't hold it shut right. Good luck getting that fixed...
