Adjusting tension on an OTF?

I have an Ultratech, outstanding in all ways but one (for me!). Extending the button to release the blade is fine. However, retracting just using my thumb can be painful. I have an 85 where I don't experience this and am seeking advice if the tension can be adjusted without requiring an engineer (sic?). Thank you.

I can’t help you but wanted to say that I had the same issue. That’s why I have sold my Ultratechs. My OTF choice is now the Benchmade Shootout. So much easier to deploy!
