I am thinking about looking for a large single blade folding hunter or toothpick. My main problem is I am going contrary.to what is most popular since Arthritis requires me to look for a "3 pound up to 4 pound light pull". My experience is that is easier said than done. I also want one long smooth pull with a light amount of snap.
Question: without the know how and tools to do this, is there an easy way to help tune one with lubrication, opening and closing a lot of times or other non invasive method?

Thanks very much for your ideas.

A good lube (I use BreakFree CLP) helps, as does use. Unless you're an experienced machinist I don't know of any way to lighten the pull. FWIW, Buck's 110 is an easy open, as are most Walker/framelocks like the GB2 or Sebbie or any of the Axis locks -- but those are not traditional designs if that's what you're looking for.
