My BM 630 Skirmish did not pass the spine whack test, no worry I don't use a knife in a way that it matters. So one of my friends see's my Skirmish and want's one so I order him one. Well his Skirmish come's in and the frame lock is better engaged and it passes the spine whack test in flying colors. Cool I did not want to give him a knife that may fold on him. So hell I took mine apart and filed the bar lock a bit then tested, then file some more and tested until I slowly go it perfect and now it pass the spine whack test with no problems. They really did get this one right, it was no problem for me to adjust it and I know Benchmade would have done it for me, but I like to do my own thing. This is hands down the best lock up I have seen except for the Sebenza.

Kudos to doing your own! There are a lot of little problems likr you describe that crop up that the end user can correct themselves. I would hate to have to send a knife in when I know I can correct it myself.

What problems did you run into disassembling the Skirmish? I hesitate to try disassembly of mine because of lock-tie maybe and the blade back stop looks to be a rivet.

Three screws is all you have to take out. The two at the back (T-6), and the pivot (T-10). I would be easy on the back two screws and make sure you have a firm seating of the driver to the screw. The stop pin just slides in and out but when the handles are together it keeps the pin in place and keeps it tight. Altogether a fairly simple operation, as very little can happen to screw it up.
