Admin or mod help for clarification. Please

Just need some clarification from a mod on what is or isn't allowed as a gold member.

I posted in the want to buy. Then thought I might, should check to make sure I was ok for that. As I read what gold could do it says " reply to WTB" . And platinum say creat in WTB.

So if a admin, or mod can please clarify what is what that would be much appreciated. Several have told me it's fine but rules are rules.

Well I read the descriptions under exchange for gold and for platinum. It is clear. As gold I can reply to WTB but not start a thread. If I see this wording in a contract that is just how it reads. Thank you good sir. but in tell I hear it from an admin or mod. As a super new member I think I'll go the play it safe route. No disrespect meant. I'm sure everyone is correct.

Anyone, paid membership or not can start a Want to Buy thread. Both Gold and Platinum members have the ability to sell in the Individual forums and with that, can reply to Want To Buy threads. Or start their own if they so choose.

Gold and Platinum have pretty much the same privileges in what you can do like private messaging, ability to sell, access to a handful of paid members only forums etc. The Platinum just gives you a little bit more of the ancillaries.

Maybe one more question now that I have your ear. I bought gold. What is the cost to just go platinum? Is it an additional $30 or $60.

You have to buy platinum, and request to have your remaining gold membership time prorated into the new subscription.

Adding to the above by Benchwarmer-Those without gold or higher can't see want to buy ads other than their own.
And as said anyone can start a WTB thread. Selling is restricted to gold or higher.

Tag Spark (owner & admin of the site) and ask him to prorate the remaining time of your Gold membership on the back of your new Platinum. Since you just got Gold yesterday or today you'd essentially have one and a half years of Platinum.

Thank you again. And to everyone that has helped. I did pay for the platinum and started a thread. I think I linked spark in correctly but if i didn't i will know tomorrow. I want to be a active, productive and paid member to the forum. Can't see not having the highest level available.
