Ads causing excessive lag to the point of ....

I realize I am probably in the minority because where I live our high speed internet is less than 1mb download time.
But.....the new banner ads are causing such a long wait for the pages to load that I am finding myself giving up and leaving the site.
I understand that all the non paid forum members cause the need for income that the banner ads generate to support the site.
I don't mean to be a whiner but for myself the forum is becoming unusable.

I just saw Spark's post that eventually the ads will only show up for non paying members.

Recent rains should make the steelhead fishing better.
 
I think that crappy Internet is probably the rule, and not the exception for BF members lol. We're not playing Computer games after all!
 
OMG! What happened? There I am posting away at the speed of comcast and then this week.... Surprise! Lets all s..l..o..w d...o...w...n...
Did I do something wrong. My page of interest looks like a used car insert from the Sunday Paper and highspeed? There isn't any highspeed. Can I pay more to get rid of this? Please. At 8900 feet of granite the cable is iffy at best and wifi? Not up here. Help!
