Ads in the middle of threads...

These ads are causing frequent and very annoying long load times. I can see the first post on a page, then where it breaks for ads, the page stops loading, waiting for the ads to load. I understand you want people to subscribe, but these ads are enough to drive many people away.

I don't mind ads, but when they are loading from a slow server, they kill the experience AND the advertisers aren't really getting the desired effect.

Staring at a "buzzed driving is drunk driving" advertisement for A FULL MINUTE is enough to make me drink.
 
This is why I use Netflix instead of watching broadcast TV. I can't stand sitting through ads. It's also why I have a paid membership to BF. :D
 
The loading problem must be on your end or your ISP's end. Try cleaning your cache/cookies. The BFc server is actually quite fast(even with the ads) and i have yet to see anything fail to load since everything was upgraded.
 
I agree with Karda that it is either your ISP or your computer. I occasionally read BF without logging in. When I do that I get the ads. They do not appear to slow the response time of my machine. It cannot be a BF server issue.
 
Actually he's right - sometimes the ad network takes a while to serve up an ad. Forums ads show right up, but the market served ones can take a bit.
