Today I'm experiencing something new. When I go into any of the forums, I get ads popping up at the top and at the bottom of each page.
Anyone know how to get rid of these?
Thanks for your time and for any info. you can provide.
Stay safe, birdave.

This is a free forum, sort of. So expect ads. Do a virus and malware scan. What browser are you using? Are you using Adblock Plus or a similar plug in?

Dragon_Man,
Thanks for the advice. I'm using Chrome as my browser and I checked that my pop-up ads are on, Blocked. My membership in BF needs to be updated, which I will do on Monday. Don't know if the membership being expired, is causing the ads to pop up. Although, I haven't been logged out and I can still see knives for sale, or the info. in any forum, when I click on a individual thread.

I was planning on saying that renewing your membership would make them go away again; but it looks like you made the connection

Thanks for weighing in, hh. I can use all of the help available, when it comes to technology (computers).
I'll know more on Monday.
Stay safe, birdave.

I use Firefox and Ad Blocker Plus. With or without a subscription I have never seen an ad or pop up here.

At this point you are a "registered member" and the forum software will display ads.
Registered members can see knives for sale and can post in the sales threads and trade threads. But they can't start any sales or trade threads.

knarfeng,
Thanks for the info. Renewal of membership will happen today. Thanks to all who weighed in, it's appreciated.
Stay safe, birdave.
