Hey guys. I was thinking of picking up an ADV Mini Butcher but i'm concerned that it might be too small. I searched google and a few other places but I can't find any comparison pictures of one other than comparing it to the full size butcher. Does anyone have a Mini? Are you willing to post some comparison shots to other knives in your collection. I would be very appreciative. The main reason i'm asking this is because I was super disappointed by the super small size of the Small Sebenza. I didn't check out any comparisons. Thanks guys. Have a great Thanksgiving.

The mini butcher is comparable to the size of a small Sebenza (sub 3" blade). The full size butcher is a bit bigger than a large Sebenza at 3.75".

Thats kind of what I figured. Does the butcher fill out the hand better than the small Sebenza?

I've only had a chance to handle the full size, but the mini's handle is a bit taller than a small Sebenza. I'd assume it's a bit more hand-filling. Still, if you feel that the small Sebenza is too small I'd probably avoid the mini butcher.

Either way, make sure you check out this thread before you buy an ADV knife. If it doesn't bother you then go for it - his poor business practices and CS are the only reasons I don't already own a Butcher. Shame really, I love the knife.

Wow. You know I think i've heard rumblings about him in the past. This is too bad. This will be my first purchase of a midtech. I've owned a few Sebbies but wanted to branch out. I dont want to give my hard earned money to someone that conducts their business in this way. Thanks for the link.

I would be interested in some comparison pictures as well. Butcher and mini butcher, though the addition of some other common knives would be awesome. I think the mini might be a great EDC size, though almost every site that lists specs for the mini has them slightly different. If anyone could list the specs using their own measurements, that would be awesome as well.

Thanks!
