I just saw on knifezilla that they have this new butterfly, the Advanced Tech. Does anyone have information on this? Is it any good?

Its strange how the bali community is screaming for more quality production balisongs yet all the marketing this one got was a prototype put up for auction on BA, only to cause the response: what the hell is that? Im not a huge fan of split frame handles, but if it gets a good review, I'll be waiting for the brass handled version to be released.....

Its kind of disapointing how it only sounds like a limited edition. I'm anxious for more regular production models.

Does anyone have a picture of this new knife? If it's limited, hmm, I hope it's descent.

Darn expensive. Looks nice, I was wanting to see an actual good 5" blade bali for a while. Wish I had the money for it.

We have been whining for a 5 inch bladed, quality Balisong, this might be the one...who knows?

Wow, they updated there site. It's not too bad in price. Anyone want to pick it up and give us a nice review?

I just stumbled in there myself and saw the up-date.

That Advanced Tech is a pretty cool looking Bali........ and a 5 incher at that. That should make some of you guys awefully happy.

Did anyone happen to notice the FHM with the pocket clip??

Hmmmmmmmmmm............ a 5 inch quality Bali, AND one with a pocket clip. Looks like SOMEONE'S been listening to the posts in here.

God, I want one of those! The steel and handle material look impressive. Does anyone know if these are going to be regularly produced? Thanks!

Well I'll probably get one when I can afford it, and obviously if I'm the first, I'll cheerfully let you all know what I think of it.

I think it came from the same company that produced those S.W.A.T Centurion OTFs.

Quality is good.

It's probably still in its first stages of production, and market will dictate if there will be a regular supply of these models or not I guess.

I would have gotten the prototype from bladeauction but the bali got confiscated by customs. Too bad

Does anyone know about the handle material? If it's hard enough not to develop the grooves that result in blade play on cheaper balis?? Are the other Balisongs on this page any good? The one with with the clip looks sweet.

Well, I finally broke down and ordered one of these pieces yesterday. I'm told it's on its way to me now. I'll be sure to let everyone on the forum know what I think of it once it arrives. Thanks!

I ordered one. The strain got to me. I think it was that "only 36 available" thing that won me over. We'll see soon enough...
