Advantages of Large Ragular over Large Classic?

I can see two advantages of the Regular over the Classic. I am spoeaking strictly of function and not asthetics.

1. Regular has a stronger tip due to a slightly wider drop point blade shape.

2. Regular has a better grip due to the ridges cut in to the handle.

Tell me if I am right or wrong here and if there are other advantages and/or disadvantages to the Large Regular and/or the Large Classic that I am overlooking.

I have owned two different large classics in the past and am now considering a large regular. I like the looks of the classic slightly better but on this third Sebbie I am going strictly for functionality. This is going to be a hard user so the blade/tip strength and grippieness (not a word is it) even with wet/bloody/oily hands is important.

I think the classic blade shape is better for me using as a precise cutter.

i do, however own both styles.

just a preference!

Thanks for the input. That is agood point about the classic for precision cuts or fine tip work.

I think the classic's larger thumblug cut-out allows better purchase for the hand. I find the classic's handle to be more comfortable, though I find the regular's blade shape (given that it has more belly) to be somewhat more functional for day - to - day utility purposes. I favor a large classic for hiking and camping use, however.
