now that im at the right forum. I think the adventura has a fantastic blade but how about some different handle materials sal??

Hi Paul. The knife was supposed to be SS from the very beginning (therefore some features that make real use only on SS handles, like the drying vents). However, there was a protoype made in G-10 as well. It featured at the Spirit of Steel and the knife had a few differences from the curent one, like an American tanto blade and the G-10 handles had no slots. If there is enough interest for the current model, we could consider updating it.

I LOVE that knife!! I wish I would have purchased the Spyderco Forums one!!! I am STILL kicking myself over that!! I LOVE everything about it; at least what I have seen in pix. Droooooooooooooooooooool.......

i know i'm digging mine (congrats AND thanks, dialex-i am really pleased with mine and am using it as my EDC for the time being)-this is my first SS handled spydie, so it's a really cool change for me, but i can see why some people might not prefer SS. i dig that the drying holes on this one are good for helping out with grip. practical and not bad looking!
