I've got the Ultralight kit, and one of the supposedly "waterproof" bags in it has split open completely below the seal... now I buy an emergency bivvy from them, and the thread around the mouth of the stuff sack is almost completely unraveled right out of the package. I don't know if it's crappy QC or just cheap products in general, but I think I've had enough of them. Has anyone else had similar experiences, or am I just getting lemons?
keep in mind too that the AMK kits in the plastic envelopes, are NOT designed for daily use. They are meant as something you throw into your pocket or pack and use when its an emergency. If your looking for daily or occasional use gear, AMK aint it.

let the hate emails begin!
I use the comprehensive kit , unfortunately quite frequently,and it's well put together.If you're using your FAK everyday put the knife down and walk away. AMK makes things for their intended purposes, nothing less. Everything they make that's intended to be used frequently holds up flawlessly. They make great SAM splints, and the best EMT sheers I've used. Their FAK are not cobled together with cheap crap, everything in it will work when it needs to.
about the Aloksak do you open and close it frequently?
