The Farmer is the knife that's in my pocket every day. And I suppose it's aptly named, as I am a farmer.

I use this knife every day for a multitude of tasks. I have managed to get pictures of just a few times it's come in handy.

One day when I was out cutting brush, I noticed that I had lost the cap from the gas can that contained the chain saw fuel. After a few minutes with the saw, awl, and blade, I had a field expedient replacement stopper.

I've been using a portable, battery powered, fence charger for strip grazing a few pastures where I keep a set of heifers. One day, some varmint came along and chewed through the ground wire.

I had cattle waiting to graze, and I needed to get the fence charger working again.

I used the blade and wire stripper notch to strip the wire.

Twisted the ends together.

I managed to find a wire cap in the barn, and used it to splice the wire ends.

Got the charger back on the post and the ground connected.

Connected it to the fence.

Earlier this week, I discovered a new use for the can opener.

I was helping a friend vaccinate his dairy cattle. I needed to replace the needle in the syringe, but didn't have pliers handy.

I tried the can opener, and discovered that it works perfectly as a wrench to tighten or loosen veterinary needles.

Add one more item to the nearly endless list of tasks the Swiss Army knife can accomplish.

This is a family forum, so if you could mind what you say it would be appreciated. Some people have no decency, geez.
