I am in the market for a new folder and I am wondering if anybody knows of a nice 3" (blade) or less folder with clip. I have a Spyderco Kopa that I really like so this is the type or size that I am looking for. Price less than $200. This is for casual carry, not a hard worker knife.
Any ideas?
Thanks
Marty

The Spyderco Caly 3 is another gentleman's folder for light to medium duty. It is fairly slim, fairly light, has great ergos, VG-10 steel, mid lock and full liners under the G-10 scales. It is one of the most refined designs in the whole lineup. It is also coming out in ZDP-189 and carbon fiber sometime this year.

If you aren't hung up on locks, the Spyderco UK Penknife is very similar to the Caly3, except it doesn't lock, is linerless G-10 and has S30V steel. It is the only reason I don't have a Caly3 (I bought a UKPK first).

Either of these can be found for under $100 if you look around.

Or you could start a Kopa collection, I believe they are up to seven variations in handle materials now ;)

There are several Benchmades to choose from...
Try the 705, 707, 14210, 704, etc...
There are some Mcustas that are very pretty..
You could even check out a Lone Wolf T1.

If you like your Kopa, you may want to check out some of the offerings from Santa Fe Stoneworks. New Graham has a nice selection of SFSW Delicas that fit your criteria. They're also fully supported by Spyderco and carry a lifetime warranty.

~Mcusta knives (I like the Take)

I just got the Spyderco Delica 4th generation, for about 45 bucks, it has the combo edge, and is in OD green, nice and light, I'm very impressed with it.

I picked up a Spyderco Viele II and I really, really, like that knife. Knifeworks has them for $105.95 + shipping and New Graham has them for $93.43 + shipping. This is not a lightweight, but it is a very classy looking little knife and it is a hard worker in the bargain. The blade os og VG-10 steel. Another Spydie on that size range is the Kiwi, The Jigged Bone version is a very nice gentleman's pocketknife, despite its odd blade shape, and there are some interesting custom versions available if you are willing to pay for them. New Graham has the Jigged Bone version for $93.68 + shipping.

There was a super nice little BenchMade, the Model 770 Gentleman's Pocketknife that is now out of production but that I also really, really like in its original carbon fiber form. Please see the following link for information:

if you can score a good one on th eused market, snap it up, but only if you are right-handed. It is strictly for righties.

I would look into at a Benchmade mini skirmish, caly 3, or Benchmade 707. All really nice affordable blades. Have fun while you shop, O yeah and by the way the perfect EDC does not exist. It's just fun to try and find it. Welcome to the forum.
