The Sub is at an AD (Wickersham) for a full service and crystal replacement. This comes with a 2 year warranty. I have the box, anchor, books, outer box, hang tag... pretty much everything but the original warranty papers. The watch is a 168000 transitional with 9,6xx,xxx serial number. I'm shooting for $6k... is that a good asking price? I've never sold a high end watch before so all advice is appreciated.

Try a watch forum like watchuseek. High end is never an easy sell, especially a Rolex and as a private party.

I would and have never purchased any higher end watch anywhere except an AD. The fakes are just too damn good and I'm

Too damn bad at spotting them.

Good luck.

There are sites specialized in transactions of luxury watches, one of them it's crono24.You can find there what you want .

Do you have a trusted Jeweler that you can have sell it for you? One that does on line sales. Buyers would be much more confident and no concern over its authenticity. I've sold some expensive jewelry this way

If you're willing to include the maintenance paperwork with the sale, that goes a long way toward putting someone at ease. Also, the forum www.timezone.com has a special sales area for the 'over 5K' bling....

Missing the warranty papers indicates what?

"SANT BLANC is the sole warrantor of this article, genuine factory warranty no longer apply. "

Sant Blanc? How does this pertain to them?

I'd also check watchuseek or another watch forum for advice on that CM. That's where I go for any watch related stuff.

Sadly timezone is a shadow of what it once was when Richard Paige, a watchmaker and an entrepreneur in the watch and jewelry business, owned it. It was an outstanding site with an incredible knowledge base. Probably has more posters now, but the knowledge base is much much less. After Paige sold it, they became hacks for advertisers and within a few years much of the great knowledge left left (or were asked to leave for not toeing the "party line" or posting along the "approved script"). That said, it would be the first place I'd sell it, but I wouldn't recommend using the site for much more.

I got this WIS button from Paige when he owned the site.

CM, consider strongly whether you really want to sell it. Will you regret it in 6 months or 2 years? Just something to ponder. These sales are hard to undo after the fact.

I only need one... my pockets are way to shallow to be a Rolex collector. The Deepsea I recently bought is all the watch I could ever want.

Give you 600 for it if you ship free. Or trade you a spyderco endura (that you can wave) a benchmade grip (also Waveable) and a timex that keeps a better time for it. I always wanted a Rolex so I can duracoat it.

Done! What's your shipping address?
