Advice Needed

Ok Buck Lovers,

I'm week and I know it.......and yes Ill admit I have a problem.......you see I'm a Buckaholic. There I said it. Now I have come to you for some un-clouded advise. I'm looking at an auction on ebay........but the fellow has never sold anything before......so he has zero feedback.......and his location is over seas. This is a high end item and is big $$$$$ at least for me. Should I take the risk and buy it or run in the other direction......please send your advise quickly

so I know what to do

I like to buy from sellers with little to no feedback, because noone else likes to. Prices seem to be Better (read lower) BUT depending on the high dollar item as you put it and where the seller is from... Is it an item that is available for sale quite often????

I would email (through eBay) a couple of questions, and see what the response is like. I have had long delays in responding; arrogant responses; short, annoyed responses...these I avoid...but the prompt, earnest responses, with a thank you, I bid on...

Hi wh4f & trax,

Thank you for the quick responses. The location is across the big puddle and he has been quick to respond to my many questions....4 already......However, this seller will not take paypal and I'm sure will not take credit cards.......so if this is a scam I will not be able to get my money back

. that make me a bit uneasy......that's why I came to you guys for advice

Oh, Jim I will get the Ok from the better half before this transaction.....or else if you know what I mean.

There is always a risk in eBay but that picture had to come from somewhere. It looks like a beautiful set. I wish you all the luck you need. A buddy was just saying that there is probably a way to do this transaction through an escrow acct on eBay. Maybe this would be a good thing to look into.

What a score!!! That's about $125 or so. WOW!!! Merry Xmas to you!!! LOL! I have some Yellowhorse 110's, some Damascus one's, but not a complete set. I think I have seen individaul knives go for over $350 on ebay. Again, good score!!!!
