Advice on a small Custom Framelock Folder, please.

If you can find a Peter Atwood Solar Arc, they are an excellent custom framelock, with a 2.5 inch blade.(It is the knife that is my avatar, by the way.)

Another option is to get a Sebenza - they're better made than most customs I've seen.

Joss, it is funny you mention that, as I was thinking about suggestion a Sebbie too. And since he has already discovered kevin Wilkins......I don't know if you like Jens Anso's work, but perhap he could make you something with a 2.5 inch blade. Here is his site: http://www.ansoknives.com/

By the way, I didn't mention that I think Kevin's knives are amongst the best deals around. High quality and very reasonably priced.

Congrats on the new knife!

Thanks. And the very best is that here in Italy the Large Sebbie, with no bells and whistles, would have costed 200EUR more :jerkit:
I'll post some pictures ASAP

Best

I'd go with Kevin for a true handmade -and the quality is very good.

I personally feel his knives are "worth it" compared to a Sebenza. I have two sebenzas (one small regular and a large classic) -and the heat treat isn't too good for edge retention. My Buck Mayo TNT outcuts both of them.

If you're looking for a cheaper framelock, the Buck Mayo TNT is a good choice too. Simple, functional and lightweight.

Kevin triple tempers its blades, with a cryo treatment also. This makes a HUGE difference. My S90V F4 performs a 59-60HRC !
I'm with Flatgrinder: Sebbies aren't good for edge retention.
