Advice on a tanto

Luckily, I have just come upon a new job payin significantly more than my old one. -And that means I can afford more knives.:) So my sng should be in my hand very soon, but after that I've desided I need a good tanto for my collection.
I've pretty much narrowed it down between a emerson super sofck-b, and a (slightly harder to find) full size M.T. socom tanto. This wont be a user, just a knife to rest next to the others and look cool. But I also would only get a knife that could take some abuse if I wanted it to. I feel they both could, but what one should I get? Any suggestions please.

Also, does anyone know the approx. size of the super socfk?

The Super SOCFK is a heck of knife and is now on super blow out sale http://www.tacticaledge.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=351

The knife is much bigger than the MT and quite impressive. Blade is a shade over 4 inches long, 1 1/4 wide at its widest, and .125 thick. Overall length open is 9 1/2. Handle thickness is approximately 1/2 inch

Mine is the sharpest out of the box knife I've ever owned of any brand.

Mmmmmmmmm....yummy!

If I was goiong to get it for a carry knife I'd be getting the stryker for sure(d2). But, I want a knife the looks cooler I guess. I like that stryker and had a mini back in the day (bout 3 years ago). They offer a great blade/handle ratio too. But one of the other two would fit in with my other knives better.

How about a CQC7. It's a classic. Or a Mini CQC7 or Super CQC7 depending on your size preferences.

Definately considered one. But that socfk has a better handle I feel. I had a reg. spear point socfk but sold it and wish I didn't. I considered the reg. sized tanto socfk too. The cqc-7 is a classic though.

If you really like your reg SnG you could pick up a Tanto SnG. Or a Tanto SMF from BLG if you want to go a bit bigger and Ryan has any left.

If you want to step into reasonably priced customs you could get a Hinderer Tanto for fairly cheap. (around what your SnG will cost.)

They aint payin me that much unfortunately. Never spent over $200 on a knife so the sng will be a big step. I hope I love that sng, but I can't afford to love it too much.

I would love a spyderco lum tanto. Little harder to find perhaps, but that's another I'd like to have. All black would be nice, but they seem quite rare in general.

Well I bought...recieved my Mini CQC7B a few days ago and I gotta say I am impressed. This thing can punch through someone's car door no problem at all lol. I think I will be buying the SUPER CQC-7B the 1st of next month just to have its bigger brother. Because as the website states "This is just about as close to having a Samurai Sword in your pocket as you can get."

However, I would go with the Super SOCFK.
