Advice on new GS blade?

Uncle Bill,

I just got the GS with horn handle, and its a beauty. However, there is something about the edge I have a question about. There is a sort of pitting right where the tip's curve smooths out. There was almost a flat spot on the edge where the pitting was. I have sharpened-out most of the pits, and reshaped the edge, but I wonder is this a problem with the forging? Or is it just a small blemish that I can sharpen out? The knife overall is beautiful however. Any advice is greatly appreciated!!

Thanks,

Rob

Uncle Bill,

Ok, thanks. I'm not an expert with the steel, but it seems to be working ok. I'm very pleased with the knife overall. The Scabbard is of extremely high quality also. Thanks again.

I think that knife is going to level out and work for a 100 years for you, Rob.

I also noticed that after a tremendous amount of bitching on my part the sarkis are producing the best scabbards and frogs I've seen.

Yep, I think you're right. The GS's blade now looks perfect, and SHARP! It feels like a toothpick after swinging the big 20 AK! Thanks again.
