Just wanting to do a wright up on what I plan to buy next and get some feed back, i.e. simerlar knives to get instead, reasons not to get that knife or why that's a good chosie,

Ok so I currently carry a few knives everyday for work my EDC's are a Esee 4 horizontally in the small of my back (on belt) x3 smith and wesson MAGIC assisted folders (one plain edge, one Combe blade and one serrated) a leatherman MUT eod a smith and wesson boot knife a small smith and wesson pocket folder and a foldable box cutter.

I'm looking to replace all my smith and wessons and add one more medium fixed blade, so I need a few folders and a boot knife.

here's what's getting my attention and what I might buy
Fallkniven F1
Ka-bar/Becker BK17
Fallkniven PXL
Benchmade griptilian 551, 553 or 557
Esee Zancudo
Esee Izula 2 or Ka-bar/esee BK14

Thoughts?
Cheers.

Thanks for the helpful responses guys,
I am a struggling young man trying to save for a home loan in today's day and age therefore I am working two jobs (yes my partner also works) I work 14 hours a day five days a week working with knives for at least 11 of those hours a day both jobs require extensive knife use, I am a supervisor at a large small goods factory where I work with meat and am constantly using knives on this job from small jobs like box cutting to boneing meat to wood chopping, than when I finnish at the factory I start work with the AUS defence force as a contacted civilian working with knives constantly from bushcraft like setting traps, setting camp, hunting, to training and small jobs or trade and building work,

So no guys I do not care for a pissing contest I am not posting in that way I just need advice on quality of knives and or suggestions on a good work/survival knife,

Also I live in Australia so when I'm not working I am only a hour away from snow, mountain ranges, bushland, rainforest, coast so fishing, camping, hunting are a big part of my life and no I would not EDC that many knives on the street and or week end just at work

For the current price of a BM Griptillian, the Spyderco Para2 would be a much better option imho.

Thank you very much, I will greatly consider that spider co knife I have been looking at them for a while and they use great steel but IMHO they are ugly as sin,
But that hasn't stopped me from useing and liking a knife before haha.

No worries. Understand that we often get mall ninjas here who carry for no reason other than an ego trip.

You've got a broad range of choices (and prices) there. The Beckers would be a good choice for fixed but for the use/abuse you obviously put your knives through I'd go higher-end than the Zancudo for a folder. Nothing wrong with that knife but you may want a better steel for your folder. I'd look at ZT or maybe even CRK (i.e. Sebenza) if your budget allows. Spyderco offers some good hard-use folders that may work. Can't go wrong with a Military or PM2. I know my choices are also all over the board but I really think your level of use justifies spending a bit more money on good quality.

I assume you won't be using the folders for meat processing. If so cleaning would be my main concern. I'm sure you know blood is very corrosive.

Yes I agree the zancudo doesn't seem to be a good knife I think things like price drew me in, and no I don't use folders with meat work but on that topic I always have at least one folder on me while in the factory as its funny the amount of use a folder gets in a meat processing plant I.e cutting hose to size, cardboard, rubber tubes, cable-ties, plastic, cutting O-rings and seals, pallet wrap are just some of the things I can think of.

Thank you for some great suggestions I haven't even considered ZT what is it "built like a tank" I think ill have a look at some prices tomorrow

ZT is going to run you a bit more money than you may have been looking at (if so don't even look at the Sebenza). But with your level of use you seem to fit that "can't afford a cheap knife" category. Strider or Grayman might even be worth looking at for a folder.

If you're considering the BM Grip, I'd highly recommend the BM Bone Collector.
It's a little more than the Grip ( about $30 - $40 US), but IMO a much more substantial knife.
I paid about $140 US for mine
