Advice Please: Driving from Boston to Niagara Falls

...and, of course, wondering if anyone has any good suggestions for places to pop in along the way to look for axes and other old tools.

Driving through New England (with all those vintage tools waiting to be discovered), especially during the fall colors, I'd take the scenic route and stop at all the antique/junk/pawn shops along the way (especially those off the beaten track).

And keep your eyes open on the weekends for any yard sales or estate sales at old farms.
