Advice please regarding expensive Busse purchase options

G'day All,

Busse ..anything is extremely difficult to find and buy Down Under.

I have been fortunate enough to have been able to acquire Swamp Rat bladeware, namely a Ratmandu, custom shop Rodent 6, rodent 9, and Mega Ratweiler so far. All in SR101.

I have a Busse Hell Razor II in Infi (grail knife!) coming....that was a massive score in OZ, let me tell you!

So, my question is ..I have the choice of a :

Fusion battle mistress, .25" thick, SR101, beige canvas / micarta scales, black coating, no sheath ...OR:

Anorexic battle mistress, .21" thick, INFI, black canvas / micarta scales, black coating,.no sheath..

I only need / can afford one.....so ...given my collection of Busse kin....which one,?

Hmmmm...? Help ?!

I think, Busse aren't stocked by any store, no one apart from huge knife fans knows about them, it's a pain in the arse (ass).importing anything "weaponry" into this Nanny state beauracratic borderline police state country, shipping costs, difficulty in buying anything directly from Busse due to demand...etc etc....

I tried to import a trail master from USA eBay a .month ago..it got turned around before it left the States. Cost me $140AUD in shipping :-(

Probably needed some BS Aussie import permit I imagine... Sigh .... :-/
 
My vote is for the AFBM. Plus I’d contact Busse direct to inquire about shipping it to you. There’s also quite a few solid Busse fans on BF that are down your way. Hopefully one will chime in with info 👍

I’m certain the shop knows all the details needed to get a knife to you, and they’re only an email/message/phone call away. There are several members down under who have ordered lots of knives from the shop over the years. The only concern should be if it’s cheaper buying local as opposed to importing, and if the finish and blade coating are what you want. Best of luck!

I've decided. Why collect Busse if you don't go for Infi any / every chance you get!

Get paid in a few days. Will grab it and post pics.

Now, a custom sheath from Ramos Custom leather : N.J. USA too !

Our $ is only 2/3rds of yours now.
A product that's $600USD is double that in $AUD by the time it gets to my door.
Shipping, import tax and 40% inflation due to exchange rates ..... :-(
$1,200 for a blade, plus $300 for a quality sheath ...No :-(

Thanks for the info, but I'm a leather man. Don't like or need kydex ..not humid where I am (South). Ramos makes the highest quality leather goods I've ever seen. His Zombie pieces are Hollywood prop works of art! Daryl Dixon's TGLB / TG ULB shld be sheathed in one ! 😁👍🇦🇺

leather covered kydex Mutant sheaths ;)
