Hello i was wondering is a titanium surface with 5CR13Mov Blade makes a strong blade?

Thanks,
Clay

What?

By "strong" do you mean resist chipping, won't bend, but will eventually chip, is impact resistant, has high edge retention?
What type of titanium coating? Ti Nitride?

How about this, tell us what knife you are talking about and we will give our thoughts on it...

There is A Lot of information needed that you didn't give us.

Tell us what they want you to pay for it and we'll tell you if it sounds like a good deal. Then we'll give you other suggestions for a better buy.

To answer your question, saying the blade has a titanium surface does not make it stronger.

Or you could give us the knife name and company who makes it.

Google the specs he published and more will be revealed. A fake Buck on Alibaba. Don't buy it dude. It's junk.

3CR13Mov at 55hrc doesn't sound like it would hold an edge very well.

alright thanks it was 20 dollar knife, i wont get it it ill save up to get a better knife.

If you want to spend $20 go with svord or opinel, maybe cold steel.

I recommend a Kershaw Chill from Kershawguy.com. Its about $20 shipped and nicer than the knife you posted, and Kershaw has a heck of a warranty.

3CrMov is one of the only blade steels that I've actively disliked. As others have said... Skip that one.

Any size opinel will be cheaper, and both cut better, and be higher quality. Svörd peasants are similarly priced, but are a bit rougher around the edges.

And I you want a quality cheap"modern" style folder, get an Ontario RAT 1 or 2 (whichever size you prefer).

So give one (or a few) of these or other suggestions and then get a feel for what you really prefer in a knife.

Good luck with whatever you do :).

Even a $25 camillus hustle from Wally World is a nice improvement for similar money.
I second the above posts in regards to opinels, svords, and especially rat folders being great values.

20 bucks gets you better knives.

Byrd Cara Cara 2
Kershaw Skyline
Kershaw Cryo
Ontario Rat 1 or Rat 2
Opinel
S.A.K
Mercator
Douk Douk
Svord
Leatherman wingman, sidekick etc
Kershaw emerson
