I have seen a 1970's case medium stockman with yellow handle for sale.

Was there any quality issues with the production in the 70's??

thanks in advance.

I've had quite a few 70's era knives and still have some.
IMO in general, they were still good, although usually not up to the same level of quality of the XX era knives...
Maybe I have been lucky but I really haven't had any quality issues with them.

If its priced reasonable and you like it, get it. The 70's era yellow knives don't really seem to come up on the market as often as the other versions

That matches my experience.

fit & finish is fine.as always their bone is hard to beat but edge holding was improved in mid or late 90s.older case workers said blades went out at 53 or 54 rockwell.my use of copperlock c.v. seemed to show a hardness of 56 or 57 rock well.i have no definitive proof except use on animals & whittlin'
