well this is my first post, I am normally on candlepowerforums.

I bought a second-hand Leatherman e304x for $35.00, I am still waiting for it to arrive.

It has some slight damage to the blade, the only picture i have is below.

I am looking for some advice as how to re-sharpen it.

thanks for any help

John.

I'm assuming a bit of edge damage.

If you go over to the "Toolshed" area, you can see a bunch of posts concerning resharpening and reprofiling damages edges.

But it is simply a matter of starting with a rough, coarse stone to get past the damage and then move on to medium and fine stones.

Welcome to the forums!

Sorry, but I can not see the damage from the pic. If the blade is chipped or cracked you can send it back to leatherman as thier customer service really is top notch. If they can not fix it they will probably send you a new one, even to the UK. If it just needs resharpening find a person who does it for a living. Better yet, learn how to sharpen it yourself. Use the search function to inquire or look at sharpening posts in "The Toolshed: Knife Care, Maintenance, Tinkering & Embellishment" forum.

Good luck!!
