Recommendation? advise needed selling Mad Dog SEAL ATAK A825

I was asked by my dad to try and sell his knife for him. He wants to get top dollar. It's a Mad Dog Knives SEAL ATAK series A, serial number 825. It's in mint condition, stored in climate controlled area for around 25 years. Blade has never touched anything. There were only 1000 made. He got a quote for $5k from Arizona Custom Knives as a consignment, but they keep 25%. It is located in central Illinois. I appreciate any information you guys can provide. Thank you in advance.
