Advocate Question

I'm in the market for a spyderco Advocate. Here's my question. The original advocate had some issues or not, and I'm not looking to discuss that. All I want to know is how do I know I'm buying a new "redesigned" Advocate? Does it have a different model number, any distinguishing features? Thanks for any help.

There's nothing on the knife, but someone said the box number may indicate manufacture date or at least the year. Anything manufactured in 2018 will be new CQI

This is true but it's important to keep in mind that, according to Kristi, this latest updated run was produced before January. So it may be awhile before a 2018 run will hit the market.
