This is a rather large chef knife(8") it has allot of taper to the blade. I'm pretty happy with how this one turned out. It has a thin, flat grind to it very comfortable koa handle this is a right handed knife it is carved out on the left side for you fingers. I have pretty big hands so I like the wider blade for knuckle clearance. I'm really liking AEB-L steel very nice. This one has been a challenge but am happy with it.
Length: 13"(8" blade)
Width: 2 3/8"(good knuckle clearance)
Spine Thickness: .108"(a touch over 3/32 but has allot of taper)
Edge thickness a 1/4" behind the edge: .016"
Edge thickness: .005
Weight: 7.50 oz (Balance point is right at the finger choil)
Steel: AEB-L (stainless, very fine grained steel)
Handle: Has an awesome piece of Curly Koa from J.Doyle and white G10 liners
Finish: 400 grit hand sanded finish
Here it is:
This is some great wood:
