Was HT'ing some AEB-L kitchen knives today and one of my elements broke , knife was at 1975 for at least 5 minutes before element broke and had cooled to @1600 when I noticed. So I just unplugged the oven and kept it closed and let the knife cool down with the oven shut. After I replace the element can I just do the HT like I would have from the start or will I have grain problems and need to cycle it ?
P.S. because of what I have read here recently I run an autotune on my oven this week and wow what a difference now when I set the oven for 1975 it goes no lower than 1974 and no higher than 1976... THANKS
