Aegis centering?

I'm having some issues with the blade centering on my Aegis, does anybody else experience this. The blade is fully pushed to one side when the knife is closed and the pivot is tightened properly, because if I tighten it more the blade does not open by itself (the assisted mechanism fails). Not big of a deal, but still I want to know if anybody else has this problem or is it something to worry about.

I have sold many of these and never had any complaints and nobody has ever brought it to my attention or asked that question. I have had one or two myself and never noticed it. I'm wondering if there is something wrong with yours. have you had it long? did you purchase it new or used? and from where?

Only have one, fairly new. It had a little (very little) play when opened, but a slight turn on the screw fixed that.
It is ever so slightly off center when closed. Not enough to bother me and I'm fairly picky. So little off center I hadn't even noticed it until I read your post and looked closer at mine.:D

I live in Bulgaria, so I'd send it only if things are critical... And this isn't ;)

The knife is new, bought from yourcornerstore.com, as a gift from a friend that was in US for a couple of months. I've had it since November and I don't quite remember whether it had the problem then. I really love the knife - it's been my EDC three months now and I don't have any problems with it except for that it's off center when closed. You can actually hear the blade 'hissing' when closing, because it makes contact with the handle.

He guys, this is my first post but been "lurking" in the shadows for awhile. About the OP, i've had a SOG Aegis (plain edge) for about 8 months now and yes my blade too is pushed to the side when folded. The blade still deploys quickly and goes inside without problem. Id say send it in if it ticks you off, but it should not affect the function of the knife. Now i will be posting an issue ive been having with mine for about a week now later on. I just dont want to hijack the thread. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the info. I guess some do have centering problems. It really doesn't bug me too much, so I'll leave it like that.

My Aegis is off center a little bit. It doesn't impede functionality though so I don't worry about it.
