Aermet 100

hello again all
so some time ago there was a mountain bike made out of a steel called aermet100 (or something like that) which had all sorts of amazing properties(from the biking perspective): it was amazingly light and strong, would bend instead of break, etc. from what i read, it was extraordinarily difficult to work with though. so, i'm curious, has anyone tried to make a knife out of it? would it be beneficial in any way to make a knife out of it? it seems like some of the properties important in bike frames are not so important in knives, but the sheer strength of the stuff would seem to make it ideal for a blade.

Welcome to BFC, Charlie.
There was, in fact, some discussion here not too long ago regarding Aermet 100's potential suitability as a blade steel, but I'm not aware of any makers who have taken up the gauntlet and given it a try yet. Here's the previous thread if you're interested:
