hello again all
so some time ago there was a mountain bike made out of a steel called aermet100 (or something like that) which had all sorts of amazing properties(from the biking perspective): it was amazingly light and strong, would bend instead of break, etc. from what i read, it was extraordinarily difficult to work with though. so, i'm curious, has anyone tried to make a knife out of it? would it be beneficial in any way to make a knife out of it? it seems like some of the properties important in bike frames are not so important in knives, but the sheer strength of the stuff would seem to make it ideal for a blade.
thanks for the input
