Has anyone used any Aerobic Water Purification products, like the one at this Brigade Quartermaster link? http://www.actiongear.com/cgi-bin/tame.exe/agcatalog/results.tam?rlk=7457298

If you've used such products how well did they work for you? Was there a taste penalty for using the product (think iodine tablets here ;) )? I am especially interested in using it for long-term water storage. But if it performs as quoted below, a 2 oz bottle of it could be an EXTREMELY handy item included in a pocket kit while travelling.
"It removes chlorine in about 30 seconds and kills infectious bacteria and organisms - Salmonella, Streptococcus, E. coli, Pseudomonas, Staphylococcus, and even Guardia-Lamblia. Stored water supplies remain safe for up to five years under optimal storage conditions."

Many thanks in advance,
Greg

Rokjok, your link didn't land on any product. But if you are referring to an "Aerobic Oxygen" type of product, I wouldn't touch the stuff.

It's most likely based upon Magnesium Peroxide, which has been commonly used by quacks as vaguely "beneficial to health," among other claims of purification abilities and storage benefits. FDA does not approve of this method for water storage, and it is questionable at best for treatment. That's why most people without filters still suffer with nasty tasting iodine or chlorine tablets.

I haven't used it but read some really positive sales pitches.

I have heard one person like it, but I have decided to go with iodine crystals.
