Affixing a shark tooth?

So my daughter was visiting yesterday and she really liked my shark skin cuff that I'd made for myself. After checking the fit I took it off and gave it to her. Felt naked because I'd gotten used to wearing it, so I made myself another one. If you hadn't seen the other one it was very similar.

This is the new one.

Anyway, I have a cool Mako tooth that I bought in Morro Bay just for something like this. Only thing is that I can't really think of a good way to affix it to the skin. I considered wiring it on (crisscross) or stitching crisscross but I don't really like the idea of how that would look. I can't think of a suitable adhesive, especially since I am rather hard on gear.

I planned to buy more teeth for shark sheaths, but may have to give up on the idea unless one of you has a good idea?

I've done a similar "criss-cross" stitch with a piece of antler on a bracelet. I think you might pleasantly surprised with the end result. Just my two cents.

Can ya post a pic of the tooth and the wristband together buddy. Having a hard time visualising.

Wire harness for the tooth with a loop.
Use another loop to hold it to the wristband.
It'll dangle :)

you can wet mold piece of leather over tooth root and then stitch so it want dangle or braid pineapple knot over tooth and then somehow fix to bracelet

Well crap. I had it in a small paper bag with some photo props that I bought at the same store, the props are in the bag but the tooth has gone missing. I payed way too much for it too. :(

I like some of these ideas. I considered having it dangle but it's very sharp and I prefer having it attached.

Dave, in lieu of a pic... It's maybe 3/4" tall and is a front tooth so looks like what you might picture in your mind. The back teeth are shaped different so I selected one that looks like a classic shark tooth. Basically a triangle. It would fit in between the stitches on the cuff.

Clear as mud? :D

Yep, saw it in half so you have two shark tooth looking havles. Then we figure out a screw stud of some kind so you inlay the tooth into the shark skin of the wrist band. So with one tooth you can get two wristbands. The screw would be like a Sam Bowne stud dealie. If the tooth is chalky inside ya can hollow it out after sawing and epoxy the female side of a chigago screw. More mud.
