A good friend of mine that I served 17 years with just came home
from country. we served many years in recon together we sat and talked
for 3days before he headed home.He beleves the war is far from over
his team was in a fire fight just 2 days before leaving.he said they
are well entrenched in thoes caves.he beleves it will take another 6 to 12 months to clear them out.we served in lebanon panama desert storm and somolia together and a couple of places 4 to be excact that
the us govt said that their were us troops in that country. So
for any body heading over keep your **** wired tight and your ass down
and good luck........semper fi

...well, if I had to guess, it just has to do with the fact that this issue has been discussed here in the recent past.

We have posted several e-mails here, which we have received from Armed Services personnel who use the Tomahawk as a daily survival and cave clearing tool in Afghanistan.

Over the past three days, Justin has manned our booth at the Infantry Conference at Fort Benning, which is an invitation-only exhibition for companies that have products in various programs within the Dept. of Army. The State of the Infantry address is also given during the conference.

Foreign military representation from the "Allied Soldiers" and "School of the Americas" are also in attendance, as well as tens of thousands of US Soldiers stationed at Benning.

The feedback and testimonials about what's happening over there is truly intense.

The Vietnam Tactical Tomahawk is quickly becoming the preferred cutlery item within the ranks both here and abroad.

We hope that soon, Soldiers won't need to use their own personal resources to get one.

I'm in total agreement with you Andy. I think your VN TAC hawks should be standard issue to combat arms units. I am interested in how popular you products have become with the military and I hope to hear of some accounts on how they (tomahawks) were used by our troops in Afghanistan. Cheers every one!

Andy you are wright that was abig part of our talk
how much use a hawk would have been.there was more than once
that I wish I had a hawk I sure beets an shovel for
dispatching a man in close combat

you must have watched desertstorm on cnn!!! because the republican
guard between the border and the kuwait airport dident throw their
hands up and say take me take me!!!!!! that airport was ringed with
trenches and for a recon team their few ways to take trenches but with
stealth.......to ask a queston like that you are either a fool or an ass I let you decide witch one and how many men did I dispatch with
a shovel I dont count. But their with me every night..............

No Ass, No Fool here. Maybe I misunderstood you because of all the spelling errors and poor gramar you post in with. It's GED time pal....

Ok children - everyone to their rooms and turn in the tomahawks on the way. You're on restriction. :D Nope, I don't want to hear who started it - in my house everyone gets in trouble ;)

If you don't have a hawk yet I'm hiding your order for an extra week as punishment.

Come on guys - the primary use for the VT Tac in Afganistan is B&E. The thing is a monster on doors, Masterlocks (as was demonstrated in a prior thread), windows, rocks, etc. I don't know ONE military guy (and I know a WHOLE LOT) who EVER wants to get close enough to an enemy objective that the only weapon they have available is a tomahawk.

Whatever weapon you were forced to use in combat, my condolences that you had to do what you had to do, my respect that you did it and my genuine thanks for your service to our country.

Any other argument and I'm taking the TV, the bar and your girlfriend privledges. Adult conversation, discussion and respect PLEASE!

Now, back to the topic at hand - hopefully we'll have more letters from guys in Afganistan or wherever they're stationed giving us updates on how much fun they're having with their hawks.

Madame, I stand in humble correction. Please dont tack on an extra week to when I get my hawk. I'll be a good boy from now on.
