AFO II upgrade

Just wanted to post here and see if we can drum up a little support to get benchmade moving.

I’d like to see benchmade upgrade the blade steels in their black class! All of blue and hunt class knives have been upgraded from 154cm for the most part, but not the black class. I’ve carried an AFO II for almost a decade strait and the steel has been fine but it’d be nice to see some upgrades given to the steels.
I’d LOVE to see one made in M4, M2, or S90/110v

Let’s hear y’alls thoughts and see if we can let bench made know that there a lot of us out here who want to see the black class up dated (especially the AFO II:D)

There was a Limited Edition AFO II in M390 made for ACMA in Germany back in the day. Good luck finding one, as I've been looking for YEARS.

Id love to see an updated AFO II with M4 or S90 steel.

I wish they would come out with another limited edition AFO also, since its a very popular knife it would sell very well.

Honestly, I'm not sure why they don't do this. New blade steel and new colors seem like a great way to "breath new life" into the older models. Instead of discontinuing a tried and true classic, just give them a facelift to see if it will spark new sales. For example, I would love to have seen a 710 with an m390 blade and flat dark earth G10 scales.

Picked up the AFO II in April it has quickly become a favorite except for the steel. It’s easy to sharpen but I prefer a steel that has better edge retention on cardboard. I would be in for D2.

Dissenting opinion..I'm still using an original AFO with ATS-34, and it's been a fantastic duty knife for the last 15 years, or so. Any sort of "Upgrade" would mean a more difficult sharpening experience, and not much improvement in overall performance. Now, if they could re-engineer the spring set-up....
