Wireless corporate communications must be booming in Nigeria! Last week I had a NIB RIM Blackberry for sale on eBuy - and all six "offers" to purchase 'out of auction' came from "business" people who wanted to buy this thing as a gift for their daughter/son in Nigeria. I'm now considering opening a branch office in Lagos - but I don't know where to buy branches locally. ;)

(do people STILL fall for this garbage? )

Of course.

I used to get these "offers" every time I listed a high-end watch for, say $3,000. - but I was just surprised to get these emails on a wireless gadget that's only worth a few bucks!

(I guess the personal info that could be phished from people who actually respond to these emails still makes it worthwhile for these criminals.)

It's a shame for the people in Nigeria who are honest and just want to participate in the legitimate marketplace. Anyone in the world with half a brain now deletes any correspondence with Nigeria in the title or the text.

Yea, I never really thought of that. Like they say, "A few bad apples...etc." :(
