African Blackwood Take-down Hunter with a selectively hardened blade.
Deeply etched 5160.
So many times I use African Blackwood and find I need to deal with little knots and a tiny void here and there, and that's part of the job, but this piece of Blackwood was FLAWLESS!
I was so happy!
It's got great grain variations and nice clean figure.
Stainless fittings.
5 1/4" blade and 9 7/8" overall.
(Keep your eyes open! Next week I will post a fully hardened blade just like this, also with African Blackwood, but it will be the first NON-TAKEDOWN I have made since '05!)
