African Watering Hole Webcam

Pretty cool. It appears to be nightime at the moment, but I did see some flying critters; bats most likely.

All I ever see is a stinkin pool of water, daggum critters! :D
Thanks for posting the link!!!
I'll catch them buggers eventually!

Saw 5 antelope this morning! Have also seen some large birds (ducks?) on the ground. At night, I've seen a couple of large birds taking off from the tree in the distance and lots of insects zipping across the water.

Great link!

I have a link to a live webcam set up in the centre of the city in Zurich, Switzerland. Not as exciting as Africa, but very professional. You even get to control the camera movement. If anyone is interested I will post the address.

My internet connection really sucks this morning so the 'action' is quite jerky, but usually the quality is comparable to looking out of a hotel window!

Watched these guys yesterday morning.

At certain times during the day, this camera seems to work like one of the webcams I have: if something moves across it's field of view, it automatically locks onto that object and zooms in.

Last night at 10:00 PM time Alaska I saw giraffes, zebras and wildebeests.
If you want to see some our local wildlife check out this cam.
You can see the local drunks leave the Big I Bar on the right at 2:00 AM.

Thanks for the still!

The sound quality is acually very good too.

About an hour ago there was an elephant partially visible with only the tusks and trunk visible and it was drinking from the pool. Now it is daylight and on the search mode you mentioned. Mike

Some info from their website:

"Nkorho Pan is a natural water hole in the prestigious Sabi Sands Private Game Reserve, in South Africa. Nkorho pan is named after Nkorho bush Lodge which gets it name from the Shangaan derivative for the call of the yellow-billed hornbill, a common and unusual looking bird from this area."
