About a year ago I read a (very controversed) article in the french revue "La Passion des Couteaux". The article was about testing a couple of knives from different makers. One of the knives that caught my eye was a knife by Glenn Marshall. Glenn is a knifemaker from Texas. He started making knives in the early 30's and is still making them. I called him to place an order. We talked over the phone quite a few times the last year and I enjoyed every conversation. He is a remarcable man, working very long hours at the age of 86.
Here is the knife I got from him, a knife called AFSS#3. The D2 blade has about 6" and the spine is fileworked (rope pattern). The knife is very solid and the funny looking handle is extremly confortable and well designed. The edge is nicely polished and cuts very well. I am very pleased with this purchase.
