After 12 years of Emersons I've picked my favorite....

The Horseman.:) All the Emersons I have are great knives but here is why I like the Mini CQC-8 (Horseman) compared to the others. My Cqc-10 has a handle design with a hump that I never cared for. The Mini Commander, well I found out that I really don't care for recurves. Mini Roadhouse.....again, I discovered I don't care for tanto blades. The A-100 and Mini would be my favorites but they're not as easy to open with thumbs. I used to have a Specwar A and a set of CQC-7A and it's Mini Brother but neither of those designs appealed to me compared to the newer models. The Horseman is very ergonomic and it fits my hand well like my Benchmade AFCK. I paid $112 for a 2009 model that still said "Mini CQC-8" on the blade. A bargain price for a great knife.
What's my next buy....CQC-13 and hopefully there will be a return of the Mach 1.

What is your favorite in your collection?

+1 for the Horseman, (received from the individual that posted above me too..)

Excellent ergonomics, and a very sturdy build. It's my second Emerson owned, and it's been great so far. Think I might try a CQC10 next...

Man, did you just open a can of worms...for me that is! The 13's classic Bowie blade shape, the sweep of the 8... and then some of the new designs Mr Emerson has come out with recently... I don't have the financial capability right now to satisfy my Emerson wants.

The CQC-13 is definitely on my short list.

^ Thanks!
The Emersons are a delight to sharpen on the Edge Pro.
My black 8 looks great, the contrast of the black blade and the mirror edge, look great.
Nice Roadhouse by the way.
Cheers

I am still on the fence which is my fav. It is between all these stiff

I still need to pick up a Gentleman Jim and see how I like that.

Only have 3 at the moment but I'd have to say the Horseman. The ergos are about the same as the Mini Commander but I much prefer the Horseman's blade. My Gentleman Jim is close as well but as the OP said about the CQC 10, there is just a small hump in the handle that makes the ergos rate just below perfect.

Curious. Why the horseman over the regular 8?

My own would be the 13 or 8 or 15. Hard to pick a favorite.
