the main bevel on my squatch is relatively shiny. i got all the major dimples out of and all the decarb off of the main bevel. it was less work than i thought it would be, but i did use 80 grit sandpaper
. after spending about half an hour on the flat of the saber grind and not getting even half done on one side, i decided to f!#$ it and go bowling. well not really, just polished up the edge a bit so it's nice and sharp now. but watching a movie while doing this was a good way to not get bored.
also, i love the comp edge. it takes a significant amount of work out of what i would normally do to the edge anyway.
next project: the handle slabs . . . . the custom shop won't make me a set of standard scales
so i'll have to have somebody else do a complete job or do what little i can myself :barf:.
